About this Blog:
This blog used to be a mash-up of all of my random thoughts, cool things that I found on the internet, or just a link to something pretty. This blog will mostly be filled with long-format posts which reflect on a certain campaign, discuss new work that I'm pursuing, or will feature an article that I've written either for the Huntington News or a similar site. If you're interested in seeing what else I've been up to I recommend checking out my Events and Punditry.
Those days of sporadic thought dumping have ended, and the tasks have now been delegated to some other blogs that I more regularly maintain and update. Here's the list:
- Blah Blah Blog - is my Tumblr account which contains all the neat-o gang! things that I find on the internet, from beautiful designs, to inspiring wireframe sketches, to something interesting that I just felt like I'd share. The geniuses over at DesignObserver regularly spend half-an-hour a day looking at beautiful things and using this to inspire them in their work, this is what I strive to do. This is a far more updated version of what this site used to be, because ... well I decided that this one had to have a tad bit more "professionalism".
- Google Reader - Alright, so this isn't necessarily a blog. However, I find that my shared content is frequently complimented on my by friends and family. I am a careful curator of content, however I realize that my blog should really serve as a platform for sharing my own personal thoughts an opinions. If you want to see what interests me, or what I've been reading - look no further.
- InputOutcast - There's a podcast that I do on a weekly basis that covers all things geekery, from the latest movie titles, to this week's comic books, to talking about our favorite gun combo in the Halo series. On Fridays, I write a weekly feature -- which will typically be copied here for the purpose of further blog population. This podcast was retired in December 2009 - mostly because I was wrapped up in finals and my co-host found himself a girlfriend. We may revitalize it, one day. Mostly because it's a damn good name.
About Me:

Hey, I'm just your typical ad-crazed girl that's running around in Boston trying to do everything under the sun that I can while I'm still young. I'm bespectacled and frequently found in front of the computer whether trying to catch up on all the reading that my rss feeder has popping up, responding to e-mails, updating my site, fervently typing a twitter update, or just working on my design.
I'm from Texas, I don't really have an accent. I love dogs. I enjoy bright colors, low carbon footprints, autumn and turtlenecks.
I am an avid reader, I particularly love the New York Times (especially the prototype article skimmer!) and I have a penchant for collecting expensive books about design and advertising. I prefer to read non-fiction. I have several magazine subscriptions; Fast Company, Wired, The Atlantic, and Print. The only newspaper that I physically read rather sporadically is the Boston Metro. I also collect comic books and graphic novels. Some particular favorites to date are Runaways, Marvel 1602, Y:The Last Man, and Fables.
For some general work background (if that's what you're looking for) I double majored in Graphic Design and Interactive Media which essentially means that I'm a swiss army knife when it comes to the final application of my degree in the working world. I specialize in nothing in particular and can dabble in pretty much anything and everything tech, internet, or design-related. I can write press releases and command teams of people via e-mail, paper prototyping the UI of a site is merely second nature, and Illustrator knows no bounds with me -- the creative suite and printed matter are my specialties. I have worked with and helped organize various ROFLCon events, I worked briefly and designed for a startup called YawnLog, I've designed a quasi-popular children's game called Clueless Critters, can count Imperial Sugar as a client, and have three years of freelancing experience under my belt. I have had several full time internships which means that my ability to create a mock-up quickly may simply astound you, I also have an uncanny knack for working overtime.
